las tablas.

29 Oct

Monday through Thursdays the bulk of my time is spent in the Madrid suburb of Las Tablas. It’s largely residential – the Telefonica offices are out there, so the town itself is mostly apartment buildings, pharmacies, and small bars/bakeries known as cafeterias. Here’s a glimpse into my school days:

I love how the street signs all include the symbol of Madrid, the bear and tree:

Las Tablas

My school  – this is the “primary” building which houses the administrative offices, 5 year old classes, first grade classes, and second grade class.

This is the “infantil” building where the 3 and 4 year olds learn, play, and siesta!
