It’s the first day of November (does that weird anyone else out?) For approximately the last 15 years, my brother and I have had a tradition where, on the first day of every month, the first one to say “Rabbit, Rabbit” to the other one gets good luck for that month. We’re not totally crazy – back in the Nickelodeon days it was featured on what of the “Did you know?” segments they put in during commercial breaks. And, according to Wikipedia, it’s a common British superstition, so really, we were just doing our part to connect with our ancestors (hopefully not the ones who chose the wrong side during the Revolutionary War, but that’s a story for a different day).
So, from Madrid, “Rabbit Rabbit!” (Or, I guess here it’d be “conejo, conejo.”)
