five. four. three. two. one.

26 Aug

I noticed Gabriela posted this fun survey a couple of days ago and I thought I’d get it on the action. Although these surveys are a little bit cliche and dorky – I think they’re entertaining! (And my parents have complained that all my blog has had lately are “pictures of my breakfasts.” Touché. So without further ado….

5 words to describe myself:

Hmm. This is tricky. Note, it doesn’t say how others may describe me or how I would like to be described. I’ll go with:

  • driven. I’m motivated to complete a task, and when I really want to do something I get it done.
  • enthusiastic. I’m normally up for trying new things (although I can be shy a lot of the time too, it’s weird).
  • sarcastic. As if this needs an explanation.
  • athletic. While “being jacked” may be the end goal, I’m not quite there yet.
  • talkative. Or “blabbermouth” if you will.

4 favorite foods.

These change since I have rarely met a food I haven’t liked. I’m leaving out drinks because three of the top 4 would be beverages if that were the case.
  • Hummus. Maybe because it was so hard to find in Spain? Not sure, I’m obsessed.
  • Peanut butter. See above rationale. Also, it tastes delicious with everything.
  • Caesar salad. An old faithful, it’s hard to go wrong here.
  • Pizza. I know this is a generic, little kid answer, but I will never turn down a slice.
Three things I’m most proud of accomplishing
  • Becoming a runner. I was not an athletic kid AT ALL. I refused to do sports and resigned myself to the “nerd” category. As I mentioned in an earlier post about why I love the sport, I started out slow in cross country and gradually improved. Now, running is an essential part of my day and it has helped me stay focused and become athletic.
  • Starting law school. It was a long road: LSAT, applications, decision-making while abroad, but I did it! (and enjoying it so far).
  • Becoming a Spain-o (not to be confused with wine-o). One of the greatest calls I’ve made (with the help of my parents) was choosing to go to Barcelona, Spain for 4 months during my junior year of college. It made me love travel and all-things Spain, so much so that I returned to Madrid for 9 more months after college. Definitely glad I took advantage of that opportunity.
Two favorite workouts:
  • I love a good long run – or any type of run, really. A (slow) long run, though, is almost therapeutic – and you get to hear more good songs that way!
  • For the longest time, it was spinning (indoor cycling). While I haven’t taken a class in months, I love the combination of an intense workout with some club bangers. Yessss.
One thing to expect from my blog:
  • Randomness. I reserve the right to blog about anything I think of: restaurants I like, workouts, things I cook (okay, all standard “Healthy Living” blog fare), as well as things I’m learning about, places I’ve traveled to or dream of traveling to, and random musings. Phew.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! Entertain me and answer one of the 5 in the comments section!

Ooooh I love all of those too. ESPECIALLY coconut ice cream. My family went to Maui once and they had this amazing coconut custard ice cream everywhere – but it’s only available there. That was a let down haha. I’ll for sure have to try bodyrock.tv!

Guacamole and avocados should have made my list – those are definite musts. And I’m sure I’d love salchichón casero too!
